Beverley Clark is the Managing Director of Clarks Attorneys and a leading voice in South African family law. With a foundation in psychology and criminology, she completed her LLB at Wits University, where she was actively involved in student leadership and anti-apartheid movements.
She began her career at Bell Dewar & Hall (now Fasken Martineau), focusing on human rights and high court litigation before establishing her own practice to balance her career with family life. Over the years, Beverley has built a reputation as a strategic litigator and trusted advisor, combining strong advocacy with empathy and understanding.
A qualified divorce mediator and trained in collaborative law, Beverley has guided clients through some of the most challenging and emotionally charged disputes, always with a focus on creating functional, restructured families rather than fractured ones.
Her expertise in international family law — including child abduction, relocation, cross-border divorce, and international maintenance matters — earned her Fellowship of the prestigious International Academy of Family Lawyers in 2007.
Beverley has served as Chairperson of the Gauteng Family Law Forum, presented at various conferences locally and internationally, and contributed to radio and television discussions on family law. She is known for her ability to blend strategic legal insight with humanity, ensuring clients feel supported while navigating life’s most difficult transitions.
