Lauren Christie

Lauren Christie joined Clarks Attorneys in 2018 as a candidate attorney and was admitted as an attorney in 2020. She holds a BSc in Medical Science, a BComm in Law with majors in Financial Management and Financial Accounting, and an LLB from the University of Pretoria.

Lauren is passionate about family law and the unique challenges it presents. She is deeply aware of the personal impact legal outcomes have on families, and approaches every matter with care, empathy, and determination. Her work reflects a balance of legal expertise and a genuine commitment to supporting clients through complex transitions. She is equally comfortable in her office or the courtroom, where she frequently appears herself rather than briefing counsel. She is also a trained and accredited mediator and has assisted many clients to resolve their matters through mediation instead of litigation.

The combination of Lauren’s academic background, intellectual curiosity and her interest in people ensures she brings both analytical precision and compassion to her practice, always striving to advance the best interests of her clients.

Lauren has served on the leadership committee of the Gauteng Family Law Forum, and enjoys attending courses which develop her skills and knowledge base as a legal practitioner.

Outside of work, Lauren and her husband are keen hikers and lovers of the diverse natural beauty South Africa has to offer.
